The Commerce and Economics Society is a society of young minds. The Society encourages students to follow their heart and passion. We encourage our students to not only enjoy the subjects, but to also become smart thinking individuals who want to make a mark in society.
Commerce is one of the main streams which students can take in Classes XI and XII at the Indian School Certificate level in Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer. The subjects offered in Commerce stream are English, Commerce, Accountancy and Economics as compulsory subjects. The students get a choice to choose between Mathematics and Psychology in the Commerce stream. Students of Classes IX and X are also given a chance to know and learn Commerce and Economics by giving them an option to choose between Economic Applications and Commercial Applications as their Sixth Subjects at the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).
The Commerce results at the ISC and ICSE Board Examinations have been excellent over years. The average percentage has been 90% and above with students scoring full marks.
The Society provides an academic platform for excellence along with a wide range of activities. The Commerce and Economics Society organizes the following events under its banner:
The Annual Inter-School Festival ‘COSCTACH’ in which the Commerce and Economics Society is one of the three societies which organize events at the Inter-School level. This festival has become a very important part of the school calendar with the top IPSC schools participating with a lot of enthusiasm.

- Inter-House Business Quiz which tests the knowledge and awareness level of the students.
