Krishna Janamashtami celebrates the birth of the Eight Avatar of Vishnu, the playful and mischievous Krishna. The Mayo Girls’ Community celebrated this day with its own rendition of Krishna ‘Makhan Chor’ and various bhajans. We also conducted a communal prayer and shlok along with a puja in the Auditorium.  There was a general air of laughter and excitement, especially amongst the Holding House students who even had their own pot of ‘butter’ hanging on their porch. The bright blend of colours and colourful music augmented a lingering affection for our beloved Lord Krishna and captured the true essence of the festival.
