On the 18th of January, MCGS bid farewell to the charismatic Principal of Mayo College , General Lalotra through a short cultural program.
The evening’s program began with a humble welcome note from our Principal. Proceeding this was a melodious hymn, ‘May the Lord bless and keep you’, wishing him good luck and God’s hand in the future. This was followed by a unique fusion of Bharatnatyam and Contemporary styles of dance. After the flamboyant performance, Gauri Sinha said a beautiful piece wishing him adieu. Next up, was a ’Prerna Geet’ which added a melodious aspect to the proceedings. Paying tribute to Sir’s enthusiasm for life was an Odissi dance which was a perfect blend of vibrant colors and lyrical beats. Then the stage was taken by the tiny tots of Mrs. Jamila Singh House who put up an energetic freestyle dance with stunts that left everybody mesmerized. Next on the list was a multimedia presentation comprising of our as well as our teacher’s memories and messages for him. Last but not the least in the list of performances was Kanupriya Rathore reciting a poem whose powerful emotion truly left everyone’s heart wrenched.
Our Principal, Ma’am Khandke then presented the Guest of Honour with a token of our love and appreciation.The evening ended with a message from Sir. He was overwhelmed by the evening’s show and expresses his good wishes for the entire MCGS family.
We also wish him good luck and success in the future and may happiness be with him.
