On the morning of 26th of January, our school celebrated India’s promulgation as a Republic in our own small way.
The function began with a disciplined March Past as the squads of all the 6 houses swayed their arms in unison. Our school captain, Shivranjini Kumari Singh then introduced our Chief Guest Chavi Rajawat. Educated as the reputed Rishi Valley School and our Mayo College Girls’ School, she graduated from the Lady Shri ram College and did her MBA from Pune .Presently, she is the Sarpanch in Soda village, Tonk district and is the first woman Sarpanch in India with an MBA degree. Next up, she hoisted the National Flag as we paid tribute to the nation.
This was followed by a talk by Harshini Kumari where she highlighted the work the youth has to take up while quoting eminent freedom fighters. This was followed by a Hindi speech where the hard work put in our drafting of the constitution was highlighted .
After this, our Chief Guest, Chavi Rajawat lighted up the celebration with her encouraging words. She inspired us to do something worthwhile for our country. At the same time, she reminded us to stay grounded and humble. Our School Vice Captain, Navya Singh Charak then thanked her for embracing the occasion and for her truly kind and inspiring words.
The celebration was our own way to take a pledge to work for the nation as we prepare to be the young leaders of tomorrow.
