“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” That so much of fun, learning and interaction happened on April 10, 2015 when the SUPW girls of MCGS invited students of the hearing impaired School for a friendly cricket match. Students of both the schools were combined and two teams were formed- “Garam masala” and “Chat Masala”. The names reflected the spirit the team displayed. The match was of 10 overs. Team ‘Garam Masala’ gave a target of 56 to ‘Chat Masala’. And ‘Chat Masala’ was able to achieve the target within 5 overs. The position of the man of the match was shared by two children- Balveer from Chat masala and Surendar Saini from Garam masala. This event was a great success as it offered an opportunity to develop team spirit and the skill of communication transcending all barriers. The hearing impaired students are looking forward to more such activities in the upcoming term.
