A delegation of fifteen students participated in Albert Schweitzer Leadership for Life Conference 2015 from the 4th to the 8th of August, which took place at Maynooth University, Ireland.
On the first day of the conference all the international delegates were taken for a tour of Ireland city where they also had an opportunity to visit the Trinity College, Dublin. The leadership conference had delegations from different countries from all over the world such as Palestine, Southi Arabia, Northern Ireland and the United States of America. During the programme the students had an opportunity of meeting new and like minded people from all across the globe. The delegates were divided into different workshop groups wherein they participated in various debates and activities such as the Quiz night, Animation Workshops, Arts and Crafts and the novelty Olympic Games.
The leadership for life program helped the students build more self confidence, improve their communication, listening and speaking skills, increases their self awareness and enhanced their thinking. As a whole it helped the students think and act like a leader.
We also had the honour of witnessing three inspirational speeches which delivered by phenomenal speakers such as Emily Logan and Ian White. The delegates were also introduced to the cultures from all over the world. All the delegations gave extraordinary performances the girls of our school also put up a remarkable dance performance which was appreciated by all.
The conference concluded with a Gala dinner followed by the Graduation Ceremony where each delegate was awarded a graduation certificate. The conference as a whole was an extraordinary experience which gave rise to new leaders, goals and ideas.
