“Dreams are not what you see when you sleep, they are what don’t let you sleep”

Sixty nine years ago, on 15th August , our leaders had a vision and a dream , a dream for which they worked hard, lost sleep and put one and one together , the dream of an independent India.

We at MCGS, celebrate Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Each house gets together the very best of their marchers to form their marching squad which are led by the smart and ever leading House Captains.

For this year’s 15th August celebrations, our chief guest was IG Malini Agarwal (IPS).We were extremely grateful for having her amongst for such an important occasion. Her speech on the importance of education of women was highly inspiring and left us thinking about how women can be the lynchpin for change.

This year the students sang patriotic songs, recited heart rendering poetry and put together a speech which awoke, in everyday present, the sense of patriotism and the feeling of pride.

The entire event truly left us with dreams and thoughts of freeing the country from the problems and shackles of today’s conflict-ridden world.
