The Saroj Srivastava English Debate was held from the 6th to the 8th of August in Welham Girls School, Dehradun. Mayo College Girls’ School won the debate after 19 years. The team comprised of:

  • Shagun Bose who was awarded the 2nd Best Speaker
  • Devika Khemnai was awarded 2nd best interlocutor
  • Saumya Singh

Sherwood College, Nainital hosted the Lelweyn Memorial English Debate in August. Mayo College Girls’ School won the debate against La Martiniere Girls School, Kolkata. The team consisted of:

  • Devika Khemani who was awarded Best Speaker
  • Navya Mehta who was also awarded Best Speaker
  • Riya Arya

Devika also set a record in the Debate by scoring a perfect score in her debate in the semi-final round.


An English Debate competition was hosted by the Genesis Global School, Delhi from the 31st of July to the 1st of August. MCGS secured the 2nd position. The team members were as follows:

  • Navya Mehta

From the 14th to the 16th of August, our girls took part in the English Debate held at the Punjab Public School, Nabha. The participants were:

  • Darshyamini Singh
  • Navya Mehta who was adjudged the Best Speaker
  • Pritika Minhas
