ANUPREET K. BROCA

Anupreet K. Broca D/o Mr. Sudhir Singh and Mrs. Amanpreet K. Broca, has been learning Odissi in Mayo College Girls’ School for the last 9 years under the guidance of Guru Seema Bansal Rai. She is currently pursuing Science in Grade 12th.

In 2015 Anupreet received a special prize for securing 92% in her Xth standard Board Examination and a subject prize for securing the highest percentage in Classical Dance. She has also been the disciple of Guru Rekha Jena Yadav and has done three stage shows with Guru Rekha Jena Yadav on Durga Ashtami . She performed the role of Ram in Ramayana in one of the dance shows. Anupreet has also learnt Kathak dance of Jaipur Gharana under Guru Sanjay Chauhan. She has given three exams conducted by.Prachin Kala Kendra Chandigarh.

She is an avid reader and takes a keen interest in the welfare of the animals. She has represented her School in various dance competitions and won accolades. She is also a state level swimmer.

She is the President of Dance Society, School Website official and the Editor in Chief for the Science Newsletter LEAP.




HARSHIKA SEKSARIA

Harshika Seksaria, D/o Mr. Rajendra Seksaria and Mrs. Sangeeta Seksaria, has been learning Odissi in Mayo College Girls’ School for the last 9 years under the guidance of Guru Seema Bansal Rai. She is currently pursuing Commerce in Grade 12th. In 2015, Harshika received a subject prize for securing the highest percentage in Classical Dance in her Xth standard Board Examinations. She has performed Odissi in various stage shows and annual day functions.

Harshika is also a disciple of Guru Vasundhara Gupta. In her academy, she received an award for ‘Excellence in Dance’. Other than being a classical dancer, she is also takes keen interest in dramatics and music. She is the lead guitarist of the school band. Harshika has also participated in various Model United Nations, Round Square Conferences and Exchange Programs. She has played Lawn Tennis at the state level.

Harshika serves as the Western Music Captain, Round Square President and the Head of Public Relations for MCGSMUN, 2016.





NAIMISHA PRADHAN

Naimisha Pradhan D/o Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan and Mrs. Mridula T. Pradhan, has been learning Odissi in Mayo College Girls’ School for the last 9 years under the guidance of Guru Seema Bansal Rai. She is currently pursuing Humanities in Grade 12th. Naimisha started learning Odissi at the age of 6. She was trained under the Kalamandir Academy, Bhubaneswar and was also a disciple of Guru Chandrakant Sahoo. She has performed Odissi in various stage shows and annual day functions.

Other than Classical Dance, Naimisha also takes interest in various other dance forms such as folk and western. She has represented her school in various dance competitions and won accolades. Naimisha also went for a service project to Dehradun, where she taught kids how to read and write. She is a part of the school Hockey team and has been selected for Nationals twice. Naimisha serves as the Balsabha and Political Science Society President of MCGS.






SHREYA JAIN

Shreya Jain D/o Mr. Manoj Jain and Mrs. Sushma Jain, has been learning Odissi in Mayo College Girls’ School for the last 6 years under the guidance of Guru Seema Bansal Rai. She is currently pursuing Commerce in Grade 12th.

In 2015, Shreya received a special prize for securing 90% in her Xth standard Board Examination and a subject prize for securing the highest percentage in Classical Dance. She has performed Odissi in various stage shows and annual day functions. Shreya has also learnt Kathak for over 4 years from “The Nupoor Academy” in Surat.

Other than Classical dance, Shreya also takes keen interest in various other forms such as Folk, Western and Contemporary. She has also worked with NGOs, where she taught children music and dance. She has represented her school in various dance competitions and won accolades.

Shreya has also participated in various Model United Nation Conferences. She will be attending the Youth Exchange Program representing The Rotary Club in Argentina next summer. Shreya serves as the Balsabha President of MCGS.





SARA PRADHAN


Sara Pradhan D/o Mr. Sarosh Pradhan and Mrs. Rajshree Sahu Pradhan, has been learning Odissi in Mayo College Girls’ School for the last 9 years under the guidance of Guru Seema Bansal Rai. She is currently pursuing Humanities in Grade 12th.

In 2015, Sara received a special prize for securing 90% in her Xth standard Board Examination and a subject prize for securing the highest percentage in Classical Dance. She has performed Odissi in various stage shows and annual day functions.

Other than being a classical dancer, Sara is also a qualified rifle shooter and has been selected for the Indian Team Trials. She is an avid reader and takes interest in clay modelling. She is a keen musician and plays the rhythm guitar in the school band. She has also participated in various Model United Nation Conferences.

She has worked with Hamro Sahayog, an NGO in Nepal that helped provide relief to the earthquake victims. Sara will be representing her school in the International Round Square Conference in Germany this October.
