Basant Panchmi and entertainment Programme for Pinegrove School

Basant Panchami celebrations has always been a joy when the entire staff and students of MCGS join hands in prayer for the success of the students appearing for their exams especially for their boards. This year to the staff came adorned in all shades of saffron and the first quarter of the day was spent in the temple. Young voices singing for Maa Saraswati and praying for success also denotes the solidarity and secularism of our School.

The day ended with an evening where we hosted an entertainment programme for Pinegrove School Solan. They have been on a road show from Solan to Kanyakumari driving down with 10 staff and 15 students visiting 25 IPSC Schools. They are on the road show celebrating their 25 years.

Mr. Alarakkha Khan from Mayo College played Dumadum mast kaladhar on his sitar. Girls’ School choir sang Chaap tilak which brought tears to our eyes. After these two mesmerizing performances we had a few dances which included classical, folk and western dance. The evening came to an end with dinner for Pinegrove School hosted by our Principal, Ma’am Khandke.
