30 years, a legacy…
Mayo College Girls’ School, on its Thirtieth birthday stands tall; as it traces its path back to when it was born. In the early hours of the dawn, our girls enjoyed a series of games played amongst them and the teachers, which was concluded by a picture which captured a million smiles.
Mayo today, is pulsing with life, and while the colorful drapes flutter in the wind, and tents line up the grounds. The students of Mayo, welcomed the day with a warm puja, on the marble floor of the temple.
With every brick having a story to tell Mayo, helps recount some of these stories, through the Batch of 1998. They brought a renewed sense of joy to us today, by recounting some of their funniest tales from Mayo. While the hours ticked by, the campus was filled with frenzied activity for the approaching Fete.
Soon enough, one could see students pouring out of their houses, with one aim in mind. To hoard food. They swarmed the stalls with their pink booklets flashing in the air. One could hear their laugh carried by the wind to the main porch where Ma’am Kanchan let the balloons rise into the clear blue sky, ushered by the cheer from the girls. The ceremony warmed everyone’s hearts as their eyes marked the beginning of a legacy, unfolding amidst them.
