National Space Science Essay Competition
For decades science education have echoed the need for inquiry-based teaching approaches to connect students to real scientists and science environments. The Next Generation Science Standards amplify these needs by stressing the importance of student-developed conceptual models to explain real-world phenomena and coherent integration of authentic science practices, concepts and core ideas across grade levels.
A step in this direction has been the Science Essay Writing Competition conducted by the Go4guru group under the National Space Hindu Educational Series between March to May 2018. Keya Choudhary of class VII was among the Top 3 winners out of 3000 enteries in the National Space Science Essay Competition and her essay was selected for the International Space Science Conference which is going to be held at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in the month of November 2018. Nine other students who had submitted their entries have also been selected as the best performers in the National Space Science Essay Writing Competition and are eligible to attend the International Space Science Conference which is going to be held at NASA, Kennedy Space Center, USA in the month of November 2018.
