UK EXCHANGE
A delegation of twelve class 7 students and three teachers from Orwell Park School, Ipswich, Suffolk visited Mayo College Girls’ School from the 12th to the 16 of February, 2018. They visited places of historical significance and tourist interest like Jain Temple, Nareli, Akbar Fort and Pushkar in Ajmer during their stay. They were also immersed in regular classes of the school to experience the curriculum of study in an Indian residential school. Their enthusiastic participation in art, craft and cooking activities suggested that they had thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the regular day school. A cultural evening was also organized for the guests where the not only got a taste of Indian Folk Dance and Music but they also acquainted us with the history of Orwell Park School. They displayed their talent by playing instrument like piano, trumpet and the flute and presented songs before the Indian audience. They were presented with a token of affection by our Principal, Ms.Kanchan Khandke at her dinner.
It was an enriching experience to host these students at our institution and we look forward to their visit next year.
