PARLIAMENT VISIT
On the 26th of July, 51 of our girls travelled to New Delhi to visit the Parliament of India. During our visit of the Lok Sabha we were fortunate enough to view the passing of the historic Anti-Trafficking bill proposed by Maneka Gandhi. Hearing the arguments put forth by the opposition as well as the defense of the bill by the proposition was a truly enriching experience. While in the Rajya Sabha seeing the Hon’ble Vice President of our nation Venkaiah Naidu was an experience by itself. During our trip we were given the chance to visit the historic Rashtrapati Bhawan, a true testament of the glorious history of our nation as well as the rise and fall of the British empire. Viewing the architecture marvel with its beautiful halls decorated with fresco paintings was a truly entrancing sight.
The trip was an experience worth remembering and one that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
