Manch Pravesh

Manch Pravesh is a culminating event for students of Odissi Dance. Usually, after 7-10 years of dedication to the dance, as and when approved by their Guru, students receive the honour of performing it. Our students learn under the guidance of Guru Seema Bansal Rai, disciple of Padmashree Guru Mayadhar Raut and Guru Madhumita Raut, daughter of the doyen of Odissi. Not only does this give the students a diploma certificate, which helps them have an upper hand in the cultural background in the future, but this performing art also gives them a lifetime of experience with the hard work they put in.

MCGSMUN
MCGSMUN

MCGSMUN was first introduced in 2012 with the aim to give students a platform to discuss global issues and find solutions that would eventually help the world one day. MCGSMUN has developed and grown since then. Each year focuses on a new theme and a problem where we may find possibility and hope. Keeping the themes in mind, we also like to give importance to our motto which says "Let There Be Light" as it gives us the perspective to keep hope and find the light at the end of the tunnel. At MCGS, MUN is more than just research and portfolios. While discussing agendas that affect the world so adversely, as a delegate, the most important quality we are required to possess is empathy, and that is a quality that we commonly lack when we engage in issues without on-ground experience. It is our mission to provide all delegates with a holistic experience, and so, each year, we come up with a new project that exposes delegates to the realities of what they discuss in their committees. For example, in 2018, we gave delegates the option of opting for ‘Campaign’, where these delegates were taken to Peeh village to interact with people in different locations of Peeh.
